Terms
These terms are a placeholder. The final terms of use will be published on this page before Shadowing Player is publicly released, and they will replace what is written here.
Until then
- Shadowing Player is pre-release software. It is offered as it is, without any warranty, and features may change.
- You are responsible for the subtitle and lesson files you load. Use only content you wrote or have the right to use.
- Shadowing Player works alongside YouTube and does not replace it. When you watch videos on YouTube, YouTube's own terms apply to your use of YouTube.
- Shadowing Player does not download, record or redistribute video or audio.
Teacher Studio
If you publish lessons in Teacher Studio:
- You confirm your rights each time you publish. You may publish a lesson only if you own the video or have permission to make a lesson for it, and you wrote the lesson text or have the right to use it. Shadowing Player does not check ownership for you and does not verify who you are.
- A published lesson is public. Anyone can read it, and learners can use it with the video on YouTube. You can archive it at any time, which removes it from public view.
- We may remove a lesson that appears to infringe someone's rights, is unlawful or abusive, or was published by someone who had no right to publish it, and we may close an account that does this repeatedly.
- To report a lesson, or to ask for one to be taken down, write to [email protected] with the address of the video and the name of the lesson.
Independence
